Part Time Licensed Veterinary Technician

Under general supervision, the Veterinary Technician is responsible for observing, reporting and monitoring the health and comfort of animals.
They provide for the care of small animals in a humane, safe, and sanitary manner.
Duties include: Prepare animals for aseptic procedures or surgery
Prepare drug dosages and responsible for dose administration
Perform blood collection to support animal health
Responsible for anesthesia management and post-operative animal recovery
Perform critical care management
Responsible for medical record-keeping and other regulatory documentation
Perform daily veterinary care and animal enrichment
Responsible for ordering drugs, supplies & equipment

1-2 years animal experience required
LVT degree required, BS/BA degree preferred
Flexible schedule a MUST
Client needs and work volume may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary
Must be trustworthy and reliable
Ability to perform heavy repetitive lifting and moving of animals and equipment on a daily basis
